Cache Humane Society

History

Diana Ribera, one of Dell Loy’s daughters, has always had a passion for animals, especially the ethical and humane treatment of animals. When she found out that the Cache Humane Society was going to be shut down due to lack of funding, she immediately took action. She petitioned the local authorities and government to find a solution. When she told Dell Loy about the problem, he began looking for solutions.

After negotiations with the city, they came to an agreement that Dell Loy and Diana would pay for the humane trapping of stray animals to spay and neuter them. Before, the cities only solution was euthanizing the animals, and this was because they did not have the funding to explore other options.

Dell Loy and Diana saw where they could help, and quickly began setting up the donation to the Cache Humane Society.

Purpose

The ethical and humane treatment of animals is a priority to the Dell Loy Hansen Family Foundation, which is why we will continue to work with the Cache Humane Society, as well as other humane societies, to help provide better care and outcomes for Utah’s animal population.
