Mission

“Provide financial support to the Deseret Foundation for medical education and research.”

History

Dell Loy’s intense involvement charitable giving in the wellness industry began with the University of Utah. Dell Loy saw the need for better research and development in cardiovascular medicine, which is why he started the Dell Loy Heart Foundation. Over nine million dollars have been put into this foundation, all with the goal to provide greater value and better outcomes for patients.

Other Ventures

Before the Dell Loy Heart Foundation was founded, Dell Loy had always been an advocate for innovative medical technologies and research that progressed the wellness industry. Dell Loy entered the wellness charitable giving world more recently, but he has been a long time supporter of the industry through different ventures and organizations. Biomerics is a company that Dell Loy has supported from its inception, when it was still known as Utah Plastics. The company evolved into Biomerics, and Dell Loy helped build it to what it is today, an innovative medical technology company that is changing its field. Dell Loy also started a company called Med Venture Holdings to help maintain and revitalize Utah’s investment in medical device startups. Their mission is:

“We partner with entrepreneurs, physicians, and management teams to advance healthcare products, services, and technologies that address unmet medical need. We provide expertise and capital resources to assist in achieving growth objectives. We invest in healthcare companies at a stage in their development where an infusion of capital and strategic assistance will significantly enhance value.”

—Dell Loy indicated this quote in an interview in regards to involvement with Biomerics;

The only wealth you will keep forever is the wealth you give away.
