Scoring for Schools

History

In 2019, Dell Loy Hansen partnered with the Real Salt Lake Foundation to create the Scoring for Schools program. This program allows teachers to apply for a $250 grant by simply filling out a one-page form. Every teacher receives the grant money they apply for, the point of the program is not to award the most deserving, but to give to all the teachers.

Purpose

Dell Loy knows that teachers help cultivate engaged students and inspire lifelong learning, which is why he made sure the teachers had the opportunity to gain access to the supplies and equipment they need. Teachers often endure in a thankless job, but in a family with many teachers, Dell Loy and the Hansen family know how important it is to show appreciation for our great teachers and to reward them for their exceptional work and dedication. Great students start with great teachers.
