Our Mission
The Dell Loy Hansen Family Foundation sees the profound need in other countries, and World of Difference is a unique organization that is making a difference to improve the community of Malawi.
History of the Donation
Dr. Julie Aiken Hansen began working with World of Difference while she was the President of Ameritech Nursing College. She has a passion for medicine and wants to help other in need. After Julie and Dell Loy were married, Julie shared her passion for this organization and now they work together to support World of Difference. Dell Loy and Julie have donated funds and created the “World of Difference Foundation” to assist them in accomplishing these goals because they recognize the needs of the Malawi people.
World of Difference’s Focus
World of Difference has three main pillar of focus: agriculture, education and health. In agriculture, they are working to build crops of macadamia trees, bamboo and more. These crops will help provide resources, jobs and farming education opportunities. They hope to help the people develop skills that will allow them more independence and the ability to teach and serve their local villages. In education, the creation of programs that will allow children the opportunity to go to school is being developed. In health, classes, training and resources are being provided to teach Malawians skills and provide health and nutrition services.
